Selected TTOs meet their PROGRESS-TT experts for the first time

Eighteen delegates representing 15 high-potential Technology Transfer Offices met their assigned PROGRESS-TT experts for the first time at Confimprese, in Milan, Italy on 1 June 2016. The event marked the launch of the first Intensive Capacity Building Programme of the project.

First Technology Transfer Boot Camp held at DSM near Basel

The event was an intensive, 4-day deep-dive into essential aspects of the TT process. Participants gave the 4-day programme a 100% satisfaction rate: “This was very helpful”, said Thijs Spigt of Erasmus MC, The Netherlands. Ebru Tan of Koç University in Turkey will make sure to recommend it to colleagues: “I will recommend this course to TTO managers and seasoned TTO professionals, it was definitely worth my time!!”

Mapping all TTOs in Europe

With the PROGRESS-TT “TTO-Base”,  Fraunhofer MOEZ intends to map all Technology Transfer Offices in Europe; 815 have been profiled to date. Lutz Maicher, Head of Unit at Fraunhofer Center for International Management and Knowledge Economy (MOEZ) says: “We collected data from many sources and are presenting it back in an open access, user-friendly form for research purposes. The TTOBase aims at helping TTOs in sourcing information and networking.
